The Epee Social

Saturday, April 11 | 2:00 - 4:00 PM | NCF Boulder

The Whole Club. One Floor. Two Hours.

You know the 5-7 fencers in your group. But NCF Boulder has 57+ fencers across every age, every level, and every program on the schedule. Most of them, you've never faced.

On April 11, that changes. The Epee Social is a two-hour open bout event where the entire club comes together. Youth fence adults. Newer fencers fence competitors. You rotate partners and discover what this community really looks like when everyone's on the strip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a competition?

No. There's no results sheet and no pressure. You fence whoever's next, try things you wouldn't risk in a tournament, and spend two hours reading opponents you've never seen before.

Do I need experience?

If you're currently enrolled in any NCF Boulder program, you're ready. Newer fencers will be paired thoughtfully, and coaches will be on the floor to help.

Can parents fence?

If a parent is enrolled as an adult fencer at NCF Boulder, absolutely. Otherwise, parents are welcome to watch and cheer.

What if my child is new to fencing?

Newer fencers are especially encouraged to attend. Facing different opponents is one of the fastest ways to grow. Coaches will be present to keep bouts safe and productive.

How long should we stay?

Come for the full two hours or drop in for as long as you can. There's no fixed schedule - bouts rotate continuously.
